Mollie Chau

I am Mollie Chau, a dedicated graphic artist passionate about creating vibrant and meaningful illustrations. My journey in art began in Hong Kong, from where I moved to Canada in 1983. My academic foundation in art was laid at National Taiwan Normal University, where I majored in Graphic Design and graduated with First Honors in 1982. Further honing my skills, I earned a Diploma of Applied Arts in Graphic Arts Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology between 1983 and 1985.

Currently, I reside in New Westminster, BC, Canada, where the natural beauty of the sun, moon, and clouds continuously inspires me. My illustrations, known for their happy motifs of flowers, dolls, fish, and houses, primarily employ colored pencils to create artworks that exude a soft-tone collection.

Professional Background

Throughout my career, I have compiled six albums of illustration drawings, published in a 10" x 13" hardcover format by Apple company, each spanning 40 pages and showcasing my expertise in color pencil art.

Work Experience and Skills

Since 2012, I have been imparting knowledge as an Art Teacher at Langara College Continuing Study in Canada, focusing on Children's Drawing and Sketch Drawings. My skills in Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, and Logoist demonstrate my digital design proficiency.

In 2010, I founded Three Pencils Design Company, a freelance design studio specializing in Window Graphics, Logo Design, Sign Making, and offering private art classes. This venture marks an ongoing commitment to freelance work, which I initiated in 2002.

Additionally, my graphic design career includes positions at Hamilton Printing & Graphics Ltd. and A.G.P. Printing & Graphics Ltd., where I contributed my talents from 1985 to 1995.
